The Engine Behind the Stories
Bespoke digital systems built by storytellers who understand community — not tech companies who don't.
Together: Creative Intelligence that serves community
Program Logic
Every program has a theory of change — a story about how inputs become outcomes.
Evaluation Data
Behind every metric is a human experience — progress, struggle, growth, resilience.
Impact Reports
Funders don't just want numbers — they want to understand the story of change.
Every data point is a story.
StoryLogic helps you see the story within it.
At StoryMotive, video production was always the starting point, never the whole story. Through more than a decade of deep relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, schools, and youth, community, and cultural programs, one challenge keeps surfacing. The tools available to grassroots organisations are not built for their work. They are clunky, inflexible, and culturally blind, while the reporting standards they are held to rival those of government agencies and large institutions. The gap between expectation and resource is costing them time, money, and the ability to prove what matters.
I kept seeing the same gap: incredible impact being held back by clunky processes.
These organisations didn't just need a video. They needed a revolution — systems that could transform how they operate. They needed the tools that big organisations take for granted, built for community and priced for community.

StoryMotive & StoryLogic
The Challenges We Saw
Countless hours lost to manual data entry, spreadsheets, and paperwork
Video content scattered across devices with no efficient review or approval process
Program attendance, evaluations, and outcomes tracked on paper — if at all
Reporting to funders meant weeks of scrambling through disconnected data
Limited personnel capacity stretched thin across admin and delivery
Unable to demonstrate real impact, risking the funding that keeps programs alive
So we did something about it.
We created StoryLogic.
StoryLogic is where that revolution lives. It's not a single app — it's a suite of bespoke digital tools and systems we design and build for community, cultural, and education programs.

StoryLogic Applies the CARE Principles
Our data systems are guided by the CARE Principles for Indigenous Data Governance — developed by the Global Indigenous Data Alliance to ensure Indigenous peoples have control over data about their communities, lands, and resources.
In Australia, we align with the principles of Maiam nayri Wingara — the Indigenous Data Sovereignty Collective — recognising that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have inherent rights to govern the collection, ownership, and application of their data.
Collective Benefit
Data ecosystems shall be designed and function in ways that enable Indigenous peoples to derive benefit.
Inclusive development and innovation
Improved governance and citizen engagement
Equitable outcomes from data
Authority to Control
Indigenous peoples' rights and interests in Indigenous data must be recognised and their authority to control such data respected.
Community governance of data protocols
Self-determination in data decisions
Cultural protocols embedded in systems
Responsibility
Those working with Indigenous data have a responsibility to share how those data are used to support Indigenous peoples' self-determination.
Nurturing respectful relationships
Expanding capability and capacity
Transparent data use and reporting
Ethics
Indigenous peoples' rights and wellbeing should be the primary concern at all stages of the data life cycle.
Minimising harm and maximising benefit
Justice in data representation
Future use aligned with community values
Data sovereignty means communities own their stories — not just the videos, but the data too.
Our systems are designed so that communities maintain control, derive benefit, and determine how their data is used, stored, and shared.
